Muktinath Temple is a Vishnu temple located in Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal. It is one of the world's highest temples, with an altitude of 3,800 m. The temple is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists, and serves as a religious symbiosis between the two religions.

The word Muktinath comes from two words: Mukti meaning salvation and Nath meaning God. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu got salvation from the curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar) here, and is worshipped as Muktinath.
